i realise that i've been dragged into a whirl everytime when i sit down and just look through things. this journey has been filled with uncertainties, doubts and confusion.sometimes i wish you could hold on to the present, cause i feel that i have enough and am content with the current status, and i dont mind if things could pause or replay itself, like a broken recorder. at the same time im curious about what is laid ahead in my path, and long for more memories.

and i dont want to graduate:( though it's only coming in about 10 months time. BUT 10 MONTHS IS FAST I KNOW. and im not ready.

welllllllllll nineteen years, i know this post sounds emo and it's not like i've matured overnight after having an addition candle to my cake. just that these have always been on my mind haha yahhhhhh okay:)

this blog is not dead really. just that there's so much stuff to do recently, so many happenings that i just cant seem to find e time to settle down to organise my thoughts.everytime i hit home, i'll feel like the bed is calling.

nevertheless!CAMP WAS AWESOMMMEEEEE once again!and freshies are damn cuteeeee omg i love koba freshies they are damn cute seriously.so ever supporting, such a nice bunch of people:)

year 3 is not fun.though it thrills me that we're now SENIOR, it kinda sucks actually.i cant really imagine myself out of design school in less than a year's time, facing what they say "the real world out there".i dont feel prepare at all, i dont think any of us are in fact. and this sucks really:/

hello!just back from DOTC2 ytd!thanks KOBA!thanks for reminding me why i like going to camps in e first place:)and a year since last year's DOC, how time really flies. seriously, ever since camp last year, the period of april to november was a blur cause everything just happened at e same time and gosh i felt that i've miss so much yet accomplished so much. hmm i miss ALFA sadly:(i miss having tom in camp:(had a small talk with LL at bed in camp and JINGYUAN!wish you were with us:(hope all e shit work's over for you! and then i suddenly remembered having peiyun and her laughter which waked e whole studio up during DOC last year, oh man and all e memories came flooding back:(

hello yeah! i've decided i should not add drop and embrace the free block in 3 weeks time:)

haha school started for a week alr!and meet up with the loves on monday! and i've finally gotten the chance to tell them about hongkong!!haha after like so long though.but still!i spent almost 2 hours going on and on about every single detail and adventure we had for each day, until everyone gave up listening on the third day:(haha which was like 45 minutes later.and only CHIA SUWI (i give you credit for this!)is interested in my speech and listened to the end.cause she's going HK soon and need all the details lallalala that explains why.

AND, adcad.OMG adobe illustrator.has been the curse of my life since digital essentials in yr one and still is.but hopefully the kind wizards have decided to lift this spell off me and yes,it's getting better:) probably due to the fact that i redo 4 times of exercise one (due to many unforseen circumstances) and as the saying goes, practice makes perfect.okay hopefully!

and its friday!!haha which means OMG tom's booking out!haha cant wait to see him and his bald head!yeah and cheers to a great weekend ahead:)

25 SEPTEMBER 2008
DAY THREE was a good weather day with fluffy clouds and sunlight and we were like WAH CLOUDS LEH hahahaha cause the first 2 days were rainy and dark.
we left our home bright and not early(quite early) in search of dim sum at harbour city!the third day already and we haven got any dim sum and we're dying/craving very hard for them ahaha. AND SO...(drum rollllllllssss)..........DIM SUM AT E.C EATERY!!

we finally found this place after damn long la, walking the whole of harbour city back and forth a zillion times in search of dim sumssssszzszszzszszs!

the first meal of dim sum and everything seemed damn holy.especially the xiao long baos OMG we were whooooooing and ahhhhhhhhing over it!there's more holy pictures with the SLRS/ DSLRRRRS:)

and LL's first cup of teh bing!hahah we were the only 2 brave ones who dared to take teh bing.melamine melamine!

and so by the time we finished brunch we were behind schedule.yessss we do tr to follow our schedule hahaha and so the next destination is the OCEAN PARK!!

cabbed from central and we spent 15 minutes trying to ask the uncle how long it takes to go ocean park and all he did was to ignore us.hahaha oh my we really tried all sorts of languages but just cant rmb how to ask for "how long" in canto!and when we finally got our answer, we were reaching alr yeah yeah yeah:D

oh yes we need an expensive ticket to get in. about S$40!

evolution invaded the ocean park.

and we took the cable car up to the top and was greated with spectacular view of many many hills and mountains which resembles LL's bra advert.it was damn nice i swear.the cable car took about 15 mins and the novelty only worn off after 10 minutes or so hahhahahaha we, (I) was very very excited indeed and especially when i saw ying ying and le le's house (the pandas!)and i was like OMG WE HAVE TO GO THERE! but never got a chance to hahah cause its too late:(but nvm!we STILL had alot of fun as usual:)

then followed by rides!!and many many rides!:D

this is ON the roller coaster and it's going downhill OMG classic!hahaha

i think this was before/ after THE ABYSS!! okay ABYSS is the ride which they have it at gentings too the one that rise you up 200 odd feet into the sky and then drop you down like an atomic bomb after 10 seconds!HAHHH just that we dont explode hahahahahahah.

afterwhich we rested for like half and hour cause LL and JY wasnt feeling well after sitting the roller coaster that goes 3 LOOPS twice. we sat on that twice immediately after the first one casue there was no queue and it was like "WAH NO QUEUE AGAIN AGAIN!!"hahaha yah thats why!

by the time we rested enough ocean park was closing alr they are having the halloween party at night which you need a special ticket to enter and we took our own sweet time walking out haha and see all the halloween stuff and it was damn cool seriously.ocean park transformed!

OH YA!GUYS!i suddenly miss our parrot friend at ocean park!REMEMBER our parrot friend that kept talking to us and we were so pissed with it for challenging us vocally we challenged it back. EVERYTIME WE WALKED PAST IT until it gave up and shut it's beak(cause the park closed and they off the switch). but anw YEAH VOS wins:)

and then bus to admiralty for dinner at cafe de coral!it was okay...i think we can skip past that lalalalala.

cause we were all damn tired on the bus and everyone fell asleep soon after but I DID NOT!ahahaha so cool right me so i cleverly made a video on the bus and whisper in it in for of waking people up and i thought nobody knew i was videoing until TOM had to tell me he knew what i was doing on the bus.walao stupong!spoiler.i will not post the video/any videos up yet cause i am lazy/dk how to upload.

to satisfy our cravings for shopping we went to time square area i think after dinner.hmm was it in causeway bay?hahaha eh dont blame me for not remembering okay 99% of the time i was just following.BUT i do know where we were going and stuff okay just that it's 2am now and i cant rmb. and i only dont do the navigation, right student LL?yes.

amos bought some graphic tees and i saw laura there.haha it's like meeting tp pple there yo!damn cool.first day i met jasper at H&M after being chased out casue of typhoon.then we met up with nat and then now laura.and the 5th day we met tom's friend,ling wei for lunch too haha.

OKAY!we're reaching the end of day three soon!!AHHH cannot!haha back to tsim sha tsui and went 2 streets down our house the dessert house.tang shui tang shui! it was a mango heaven OMG i was damn excited!

HAHAHAHAHA look at amos' retarded face!this stupong actually thought that gui ling gao is like chin chow and happily orders it (so happy take photo some more) to discover that it is not!hahahaha stupid boy leh!

haha and right after we took this photo we met some singaporeans who were like "hey all of you from singapore?yeah no wonder, sounds like singapore!"awwwww so nice to meet fellow singaporeans overseas:)

and then we were caught up in the DVD store which we managed to get some really cool dvds and stuff and guys for those who watch jia hao yue yuan, YES I SAW THE WHOLE SERIES OUT ON SALE ALR.hahaha heard singapore only on rent now.lallala and i bought heavenly forest which tom recommended,ya MOI student recommend one should be good.i've yet to watch it though, watching with VOS this wednesday!!!<3

okay so we walked back to our house 2 streets away and yeah this is the end of day three!:)

OMG I'VE SPENT A FREAKING 2 HOURS ON A DAY'S POST SHIT.

i miss knocking our "highly soundproof" wall to the guys room next door every morning/ night.
i miss squeezing in the double bed with the girls cause nobody wants to sleep on e single bed.
i miss our cosy(yeahhh...)little place we call HOME, and how it got so messy effortlessly.
i miss playing the memory game and how annoying it gets when amos keeps winning:/
i miss taking the cramp lift to our HOME and walking the dark dark corridor that seems like those feature in horror shows.
i miss our NO. 8 TYPHOON, roaming the streets yo. hell fun but kids, dont try it without adult supervision!
i miss us standing in the middle of the road, studying the map ALL THE TIME.(though all i did was to follow the rest lalalallala)
i miss the earl grey macaron!
i miss aunties rossie and her place and her stewed meet OMG ITS FREAKING GOOD!
i miss the MTR ambassador, though she was only helpful once and always disappear when we dont need her.
i miss our adventure with FRED,oh yeah our new african friend yo!who askes amos to phone his mistress in beijing and touches amos hahahahaha!
i miss making all the little videos, tons of them!everyday even like walking HOME.
i miss the old granny who scolded us for not being fast enough when she started pushing all the crates into the lift even before we had the chance to step out.
i miss the guy sellig prepaid card. (he has long,okay not very, smooth, shiny and silky black hair with centre parting!)
i miss the damn kan chiong auntie who always runs away before we can finish ordering.
i miss the taxi uncle that we took forever to ask him how long will it take to go to ocean park.
i miss walking along hk streets, with all the gigantic signboards hanging above our heads.
i miss the mango dessert!OMG and the gui linggao from the same shop!
i miss the barrel of beancurd we ordered in tang dynasty.
i miss all the nonsense we'll talk about everyday.
i miss the many kinds of bus rides we took everyday, and the MTRs
i miss having to stand on the right side of the escalator.
i miss queueing for the tram up the peak and how tom was being racist.
i miss us playing on the peak until the security has to come circling us.
i miss taking the star cruise for HK $1.70 only!hahahaha
i miss us taking photos at every freakig MTR station hahaha it was damn fun.
i miss H&M WAH ALOT ALOT ALOT ALOT ALOT if only i brought more money there man.
i miss the HK$10 wanton mee! less than 2 bucks only!and its reallyyyy good.
i miss how the auntie that sells liang teh bluff me that the tehis not bitter.it is.
i miss us slogging away along the streets especially on the last 2 days due to excessive shopping.
i miss the foot and shoulder massage that we went to and met another friend from US who thought amos and jy are a couple HAHAHAHAHAHAH!
i miss the small kid on the bus back from ocean park who keeps muttering cantonese while everyone was asleep.
i miss the nights all together.
i miss how we squeeze 5 pple into cabbies.
i miss the thrill when we waved goodbye to our parents at the departure gate.
i miss waving to our eager parents too at the arrival hall HAHAHAHAH the anxious and relieved look in their faces cause we were the last to come and collect our baggages.

holidays started last week or rather this week.one week of hongkong is not enough not enough not enough.or rather,its one week of VOS is not enough not enought not enough.never knew how things would turn out this way. when we first knew each other half a year ago, we never predicted the existence of VOS, and that even flying off to hongkong together 6 months later. lalalala why isnt that we cant/i cant get on with this.

i am only 18 ("young and sweet, only...")okay so i am only 18,YOUNG. and i look down at the agenda for the next 6 months.i can see events linning up one after another blah blah blah all the way till next year april. do i really want to spend the rest of my youth slogging my guts out, rushing on to fulfill my/my parent's goals? sam has been putting me on to design stuff for tinywear, but it has never get started unless one day i am enlightened and look upon this whole thing as an assignment/task with deadlines. i may feel accomplished at the end of it all but whats the point if i missed out more things? to begin with, i am/has always not been a good multi tasker and asking me to handle many things at a time is a struggle. and if this amount of work piles and never ends(most likely), i will most probably:
1. die of an heart attack
2. suffer, ALOT then fall sick and take a lifetime to recover
3. suffer, and become stronger
either ways i'll suffer and as much as i want the consequence to be number 3, it seems hard.how much longer will i take to learn the technique to handle all these, to be able to sit on my armchair and smile, thinking "this is peanuts". another 10 years?or 20 years? oh yeah think so but please spare my youth.
i want to be able to wake up one morning with no agenda for the day and just do WHATEVER i want to. but then again, accomplishment=0.

lalala call this the growing up syndrome.has been getting alot of these lately.

on a lighter note!I STILL MISS HONGKONG!a little more each day. and everyday i would still be thinking "okay this time last week we're at... doing... HAHAHAHAHHAHA we were so dumb...this is so funny...amos is whinning:/again"HAHAHAHA.

i would not say i've been through the storms, nor commit myself to being someone who's life have been smooth sailing.now i look back at when i assumed to be the worst moment of my life,the pain is there,the "what ifs" surface.but i soon see myself moving forward, trying, as hard as i might be, to throw away these stuff.irrelevant stuff.

simply because age is catching on us and we have more things ahead to treasure rather than to cling onto the past. not implying me, not just me but my parents. in one night i look back, and reflect on my 18 years with them.what have i given them i dunno, but what they have given me, COUNTLESS. we're indebtable to them and i curse myself now for brushing them off when im not in a very good mood sometimes.because they deserve much more than this.

i want to use my own money and bring them to new zealand one day.

1. about david and siafu,you thought you could always get them treated the next day when you first discovered they're sick.BUT NO.and now one died from bleeding,the other from shedding his tail,both had fungus-like stuff growing all over their body for 2 weeks.SADNESS:(

2. you've been promising yourself to practise really hard for piano after walking out of teacher's house every week,but you never did.

3. you've been telling yourself to sew a few tops/skirts/dresses for yourself.you bought all the fabric,but you never did.

haha all those late nights/schol work/work work has brought me down finally.yeah so this is my limit,hmm not very satisfying ah.

fell sick after 3 grueling weeks FINALLY and oh man i should have seen this coming,hahah anw i finally had a good rest ytd and today and all i did was sleep.took medication and slept for 2 whole days!

sick on the first day of holidays,it's always like this. i remember having chicken pox at e start of dec hols in sec three:/

i suspect i am busy,with thinking that i am busy.
because school's started and i've been sleeping lesser,much much lesser.which explains the invasion of the red army on my face.
VISUAL PRESENTATION ESSENTIAL i am taking this month,9 to 12 lesson,not too bad.other than e fact that i've to wake up real early and endure the 1 and a half hour bus ride,or you can call it the extra sleep time on a bumpy and crowded vehicle.
it has just been going for vpres, sewing room,work/help sam at tinywear/meet up with friends.yes actually i still think i am busy,i really had a busy week,really really.

and i can alr predict how the rest of this block will be like.
okay,i'll be completely drained at the end of this block i swear.its not that vpres is damn straining or what,its is not very in fact.but i just has so many things lined up and im serious.
vpres assignments (1 submission every 2-3 days),work,sewing my skirts and blouses,piano,helping sam with tinywear stuff,piano,catching up with friends.

see i am not lying i am really busy.

but i've survived the first week!yeah actually i am quite proud of myself hahahaha to have time for sch work,work work,sam's work,sewing(has not been effective though),and cathing up with old and new friends(:

hello im back!

back from DOTC or rather Design OrTogether Chalet(:
amazing race on e first day and alfa girls rocks!hahah though there's only me des jy and ll but yeah we like totallyyy came in firssst yo!FIRST PRIZE GIRLS!hahahaha
and follwed by drinking game and e rest of e night/morning's un.men.tion.na.ble.

day started early on second day cause most pple had to go back to sch for meeting and submissions and stuff.and it was alr late afternoon before we even knew it.=start preparing for BBQ.and i so missed the BBQ cause of melissalim's concert.(YES meliisssalimhuijuan read this!)

and went i get back from e concert,i was greated with a pool of drunk pple lying around in e rooms and living rooms and this freshie was puking everywhere in e open space.ohmygod they are scarylyfunny.like really hilarous,you want to laugh out loud but you cant hAHAHAHAHAH.which reminds me of how me and izak must have been such an entertainment on the un.men.tion.na.ble. night.BUT drinking is still bad hah.
yeah and i can never understand how guys can get so addicted to soccer.yah i mean yes its a sport/game and stuff but why soccer?only.like why you dont see pple getting addicted to like tennis games say for example.yah so man u verses chelsea.girls were chomping down on all e hokkien mee,bachor mee,o-lua(erm ya fried oyster),and fried carrot cake.ohmyogd they are e savers of e day,totally rock man.

i gave up on posting photos from DOC,cause its too much and im lazy hahahahaha.
first week after school reopens,it has been AWESOME!not the lessons,but the people as usual:)
you will always spot pple in small clusters of their empires or whatever before and after class,and though its now e 2nd week after camp,I STILL MISS CAMP!
the people the people the people,still never fails to amaze me:)
and we had jam and hop last friday.i was still wondering how they're gna squeeze all e pple into design space but it turned out alright and i was freaking high hahahaha!

POST DOC SYMDROME

feeling lousy,downcasted,weird and all the extreme words you can find in e dictionary that discribe sadness.
maybe thats what they call the post DOC symdrome.
a camp was nv so filled with joy/laughther/fatigue/tears and emotions.this is the first one and probably nv the last.
so for the past 5 days,from 14/4 to 18/4,i've been in Design orientation camo (DOC)as a group leader (GL) for alfa ALFRO!
the experience's extreme,it was simply unbelievable and im seriously glad to make it as a GL in this camp,simply did not regret going for it at all.
and freshies,i love all of you.each and every single one of you plays a part in making the camp as good as you wanted it to be and im extremely proud seeing how all of you bonded day by day. from day one to four,it was nv the same.
i rmb on the 3rd day,the sentosa night.one freshie asked me randomly "where did we get the energy from?"seriously,i was alr damn tired when he asked me hah but i dunno where the energy came from too,to make all of us survived tis 5 days, with less than 3 hrs of sleep per day.and so i replied him "yeah we're GLs what,we're damn zai!"WOOHOO!

NIGHTWALK;erm.erm.erm.im damn zai im power im not scared er er errrr ya im not scared right.hahhahah AT LEAST i did not totally freak out like i was during DOTC.

actually i've got alot to say at the last night.whether to the freshies or to my fellow alfa GLs and FAs,but i was quite blanked and all i know at the point of time was;im damn sad,yet glad,everything has ended.it was a mixed feeling.

yes and the best part of the camp was THE PEOPLE.ALFA;it couldnt have been so great without you.

like i said i've alot to say now too but im damn tired now hahaha GENESIS meeting tmr!going yo sch has nv been so exciting:)))tmr marks the beginning of a new academic year and e best part is getting to meet the freshies and ALFAs once again!!!yeah!

HOORAY to me im now a GL in design orientation camp:)
which means a training camp that would spread over 28, 29 and 30 march.

i caught the fever bug last night.
dont know where it flew in from but i just caught it,while sitting infront of the tv.
hah sis's boyfriend concluded that i must have caught it due to watching too much tv.yeah all at one go,i had the good old luxury of being a couch potato for 3 whole hours ytd night,something which i have not had for a long long time.
haha and so the fever bug came,but go too,in the morning.
still,i did not make it in time for school in the morning.
hmm did the shots today,thanks to mingbei and valerie!yup and thats about it,colours and light is okay.

yeah and zhenqin's bday today!that little girl of ours just turned 17 today.yay!welcome to the seventeen club!:)

i overheard a very interesting conversation on my way home today.
here goes:
there's this AFRICAN man sitting just behind me on the bus. he was blasting into his phone, and apparently into my right eat too. the convo started with some papaya leaves and i had no idea what e hell he is talking abt.and i was very very irritated.
cause he was talking to this SINGAPOREAN on the line,and his volume's so high i can even hear him through my earpiece,i gave up and decided to listen to what he has to say to this SINGAPOREAN.
he was talking 99% of the time.
- God created tress and africans embrace them.
- this is all part of humanity.
- apply the juice of plants onto your skin if you have a wound,and NEVER go to the doctor cause they are all CHE-MIIII-KER-LIESSS!!

am i just plain suay or what tell me.
whatever route i choose to take to school that day, something's gna happen on the way.
the massive traffic jam is morning is so sick.its bloody massive,damn horrible.and the best thing is there's no seat and i was standing with my ultra heavy bag like always, suffering from the jerkiness of the damn bus.i was so tired,cold,hungry and felt like puking.
so i told 2 hrs to get to school today.
and lesson's only 1 hour.

the weekends past with work and taking photos-around esplanade like a tourist.
we had to take photos in e same frame for a day in different timmings or at least, on subjects like light and colour,light and shadow,light and time etc.
so sat was a rainy day.it was raining in e morning and i couldnt take my morning shots.so i pinned my hope on e afternoon and why,the sun decided not to appear for the day.night shots were alright,sun not needed you see.but actually,im not very sure either if we needed night shots haha.
so sat night,i was praying that sunday would be a better day.i even promised myself NOT TO eat a scoop of ice cream if sunday would be a sunny day,sunday sunny day makes sense right haha.
but perhaps i didnt pray hard enough cause the sun decided not to show itself for another day.or maybe it was because my promise not to eat a scoop of ice cream wasnt sincere enough-i promised a scoop,but not many small mouthfuls.
oh shit,now how.
i dont hace photos for light and show,not a single shot.
and tmr we're suppose to show teacher.
perhaps she can understand there's no sun,not that i dont want to take.

im suppose to my doing my hoc written report now but i've got absolutely no mood to handle this.im feeling lazy and this is not a good sign.actually im kinda glad this block's ending this week cause morale is low for this block.yes its online learing,there's no school, no willy to nag at you and of course i took things slowerrrrrrrrrr..and then again,i've been doing my work on time and handing them up on time.in fact,i've got ample time to complete them,just that i feel that i have not been puting in my best for this subject.hah nvm its e last assignment alr and hoc's gna be history in a few days time.

i went swimming today.after inking e same bloody mistake over SIX TIMES for e prouction drawing.yesss i stupidly repeated the same mistake six times and i felt like crying.then i decided to take a break and reached for my piano.i played the exam pieces,and suprisingly,it was much better than any previous practice i've had,but whats e use,exams over.

ok yup so i went swimming and met my ex swimming instructor again.haha ya AGAIN he always happens to be there when i go swimming,which is not very often now.
he's older and not as handsome anymore,aww what a pity.

ok back to my report-the next morning when its rise and shine for me and when im all perk up and ready for e day:)

monday:
i took the horrible piano exam,yes THAT ONE that im so not cinfident with at all.like any usual exams that i used to take,i took the chicken essence in the morning,hoping it will give me a fresh mind to begin with.the last min lesson at teacher's hse helped in a way that it warmed my fingers up,but when teacher says "Pearlyn,your voice today ah..hmm.."and i knew i am so dead for the aural section of the exam.
that morning, my long lost butterfly friends came back and hide in my stomach,and this time,they fluttered harder,they actually dont realise that i did not miss them and they are actually not wanted.
the exam goes on and the examiner's weird.he's bald,and he's got a small dent in his skull.actually thats not really e point but i cant help but notice!yup and actually he's quite nice in e sense that he asked me to replay when he could tell that i was nervous.
then came e aural part,shit.i seriously anyhow sing.i guess it was horrible cause he twitched his eyebrow hooooolllyyyyyyyyyyyy.thank god it went past in a flash.
i am not going to think about e result!

tuesday:
went to school for conslutation and 2nd interview for DOC!i hope i can get in.no,evee say i must BELIEVE i will get in cause its good karma.aha yesssssss i believe i will get in.

have been pretty busy the past few days.
uncle's gone,funeral's over,ashes collected,i know he's resting in peace and looking well after all of us.

was taking the train today and i felt like slapping this guy infront of me.
he's wearing a bright yellow tee with high socks and sneakers.actually that's not the point.the point is,he was boasting so much about the jc that he's in, which i shall not mention which,to an uncle and auntie.and he was trying to list out the ranks of all the jcs and rank them into different groups.and the whole point is,HE MISSED OUT CJ.what the hell right!act a know it all can oh my god and the way he talks ah i seriously feel like slapping him.
i was rolling my eyes throughout the whole train ride and this guy next to him was staring at him,and he was rolling his eyes too.haha ya so we were both rolling our eyes huh.
and because the train was so packed i could not move away,so i blasted the music into my eyes and tried very hard to ignore him.but his bright yellow tee's still very outstanding among the crowd.

the oh family reunited just one week before chinese new year.

i thought i wouldn't cry,but it was certainly heart breaking to see the the white hair sending the black one off.and also to witness the longing desire for uncle to come home,alive.
when they all shouted "come home,come home" as they moved the body back,everything made sense.this is kinship,the unbreakable bond.
no matter how much they may have quarelled among themselves in the past,its all in the past.eventually,they will still be there for each other till the end.
and grandma was in a daze the whole day,kept repeating to me that uncle was still well yesterday morning,he was still feeling well in the hospital and he said he was going home soon,but now..
how unpredictable life is.
though im not close to my uncle,but this is the time when the value of kinship becomes more significant and im glad to have this unspeakable bond between everyone of us,cannot see,cannot really feel,but somehow just know its there.

after all these while i've suddenly come to realise that maybe we should not expct too much from grown ups too.
when i was in primary 1,i look at the P sixes and thought how great is it to be in P6,like a big sister in the pri section.
then i come to upper pri,an i look at the sec girls,thinking how cool, how mature they are and they must have known everything in the world.only when you reach sec four and you realise,right man,lame shit.

im turning 18 in a few months and this feeling sucks.and before i know it it will be 21=adulthood.seriously, i think 16 and 17 is the best age to be,old enough to do certain things,yet still under the care and nurture of the society.
but the thing is,i dont feel that i am growing up in any ways.so please dont expect too much from me.i fear expectations that's way beyond my imagination.i cannot imagaine how my mentality will be at 21,but judging from now,i dont think there will be much difference.so if there's not going to be too much of a diff, expectations should stay at the ame level.
but then again,maybe we're force to grow up.and maybe we dont even realise we're growing up. how sad ah,but maybe that's what life is all about after all-growing up.

finally a teeny weeny break after 3 days of endless work.
sleeping on bus rides and going home when sun sets has become more like a routine than a chore.
we finally finished the first basic skirt and submitted on tues.ohmegood pls appreciate school uniforms.and i did an ultra embarrassing thing in school which cause inconvenience to all e ADM-ers that day.erm sorry!it was not on purpose!
can you actually believe it i have been working NON-STOP the whole of today!from lesson at 9am,i have been doing FIPD assignment all e way till 430pm which made it just in time for submission at 5.and i carried on with my sewing all e way till 9pm.and SHITZZZZZ i just realise e measurements kinda wrong and im so feel like dying now.ok nvm and after reaching home and bathing(i bath,not like kaka)i practised piano.it was 1030pm,and no one else was at home.it was quiet and cold and i decided to emo.
haha not really actually,i was playing the music of the night from phantom of e opera and i suddenly felt so peaceful.

yeah i finally managed to survive last week!
assignment one for FIPD and APP1.woah i cannot colour with markers,and i take a damn long time to sew.that explains why i had to stay in school till about 8 everyday.
plus sick for one day,and open house from thurs to sat.oh yes open house!haha though i dint really do much,yeah but i enjoyed myself and tp rawks!:)

its that time of the year again.the end of the year.
WHY WHY WHY must time past so quickly.
seriously, 2007 has been an amazingly weird year.needless to say,its the first year out of comfy old st nicks and stepping out to the outside world.in other words,going to school not in ang mo kio anymore!
2007 has also been the year where i meet more and more pple.pple from work,from new schools,and from everywhere.words like SOCIALISE suddenly makes more sense.
and like i said,it has been an amazing year,perhaps even the greatest turning point of my live up to date.
so here's a review of 2007,starting with my first 3 months in CJ.

1T07 during orientation!:)

i cant help but share this cause i think they guys are really SERIOUS,in passing the ring so we've got to compliment them i think:)

first 3 months in cj for us = meeting new people,eating baos and yong tau foo, taking many photos, playing daidees and cards, getting caught,ponning school,running around cj's unique square track,disturbing the maths and chinese teacher,sleeping in class,cca hopping,and basically,lots of fun!

the last day,and i wore jie jie's cj uniform to school!

i miss those time and im glad to have met all of you!i thank each and everyone of you for making my time in cj a memorable one:)

and afterwhich i made the biggest decision of my life to date.to take up apparel design and merchandising in tp,to do something of my interest in the future.i can still rmb the struggle,the many sleepless nights,the many persuasions to my parents,the horrible fear and dilemma i was in.i was so afraid to take the wrong step.i never knew how pple can just easily decide the course they want to go in poly,like isnt it the future that they are deciding?to me,choosing the right poly course is a GREAT DEAL.
but now i can bravely say that i did not regret,though i will be lying if i say i never did.yes,i still miss jc life,the kind of lifestyle where you get to school at 730 in e morning with your uniform,have flag raising,go for classes and cca,get stress during exam periods,going for recess and hang out in school u after lessons.yup simple lifestyle and so like secondary school.
but they say you give up something and gain another thing.well,makes sense.
so i embarked on another journey in TDS in april 2007,namely temasek design school.

my care group;DC14 with paige.

and i still rmb how difficult it has been for all of us esp in the first half year.we miss st nicks so much that going back to school every other day was like a duty.
and not to mention going back st nicks on sports day!!YEAH!one of the hippest event of the year in st nicks.

noe life as a poly student is really different.firstly,there's no uniform and we can wear basically anything we fancy to school!even if you put heavy make up and set a fancy hairstyle,basically,its allowed.and esp in design school,where all the creative pple gathers around,you can find anything.any colour,and styles of outfit.in other words,you name it,we have it.yes quite a culture shock at first but yeah im fine now.

cant believe im been in tp for almost a year.and in april 08,i'll be a second year student.it seems only ytd that i was first enrolled into TP and that orientation's just over(yes i know,cliche but true!).and im absolutely glad to be surrounded with nice people and yeah all the worries about adapting to a new environment's gone!

i cant wait to let go,to embrace 2008,yet this major part in me hopes everything will stay intact.why?cause i've not really tasted it i think,i still bloddy think time has past so fast.like it was only ytd that i had cj orientaion and got borui all irritated when we could not rmb his name and he has to repeat like damn alot of times(who ask him talk like he was sleepy can,not our fault),or that i just celebrated my first ever birthday out of st nicks,with my new tp classmates.IM SORRY IT STILL SOUNDS CLICHE,but yes thats it really.

i packed my table today(finally!)and was clearing stacks of files and notes from CJ.all the econs,maths,history,GP ect.haha kinda miss taking notes.and making the poor chinese teacher angry.actually i realise chinese teachers are actually quite poor thing,cause for dunno what reason they always seem to be the target of students ah.
haha ya so i was slashing away all these stuff,knowing well i wont be using them ever again.but still,i only kept them in another shelf,within my reach.cause there's this thing in me that likes to reminise the past and i will just take them out to flip through when im bored.thats why you see,actually i can never finish packing my room,cause i will only end up shifting things around the room.
and i also came across this maths assignment from CJ.7/40.WOAH!haha and the remarks were"pls do your tutorials and learn!"ya first three months,haha seriously,i was not worried at all to receive this kind of grades at that time.so what were we doing in school ah!

yo merry christmas!
hah im not late cause there 12 days of christmas(:
and so e HD pple had our christmas party on 23rd(or rather,the 24th morning) and it just ended later than expected.haha i reached home at 6 and only slept at 630am that day.
yup hmm the party's not really great i think.sorry pple for e quite not organised party!haha er but its quite ok la i guess,quite.

and so when i woke up its alr 3pm,on the day of christmas eve.

oh my god cab fare to downtown during peak hours is damn expensive can!i can almost feel my heart pounding harder as e metre jumps.i almost had an asthma attack.

i slept at 6am ytd.
not because i was busy with anything or what,simply cause i cant fall asleep.
hahaha what the hell,think should be the stupid teh tarik i drank at 8pm the previous night. i seem to have this weird thing in me that forbids me to take any caffeine stuff after 7/8pm or i would not be able to sleep that night.

and now im at ah lim's house.me and ah lee just had a pinic in the kitchen and now 3 of us are on the bed.
the only difference is that to me right lies lee yiling,and to my left lies melissa lim hui juan.and guess what,they're all asleep.
hmm sleepover ah.
and none of them hasbrushed their teeth.dirty pigs.hha but actually im not planning to brush too.lazy la haiya nvm la one night only,we can just stink together.

poor baby sprained her ankle from cheerleading so she cant be the model for our dress.and i finally managed to get a replacement.haiya though we still think yi's the best choice for our dress,but like what they say "no fish prawn also can",so here we got no choice but to get my see-stir to model for us.hah kidding,she's been a great help(:and she only finally agreed to help us after much much persuading and empty promises that i made to her.wah big shot ah!

today was e finals!
and we got consolation!haha i dunno why but im actually quite happy.dont ask me why i really dunno haha.so there was 9 consolation and 3 top prizes,which means basically everyone walks home with a prize!
the significance of an egg was the last team they announced before announcing the top 3.haha at that point of time this part of me kinda expected that we will be the next to be called out for consolation while this part of me hopes to get into e top 3.its like a step away!haha its kinda weird but nvm e first prize winner's a tp graduate too!!yeah and i dunno why also i was very happy that she got first prize!yeah cause i think she's a tp graduate,eh from design school leh.
yeah and we won ourselves a 200 bucks millenia walk vouchers and a osim hamper.THEN i happily thought we could just drown ourselves in e candy empire there with the vouchers.so we happily went candy empire and took quite alot of stuff and went to e counter,AND the person had to bomb us with a reply that candy empire's not participating in this.wth!and we had to put everything back can!not so happy afterall.
but nvm we shall still find a way to deal with the vouchers!yeah we shall be contented and im actually really quite contented,like hello WE WON something:)ya though not top 3 but nvm!it had been a fun experience and we had tried our best,er though i believe there's still improvements to be made but nvm its over and im overall a happy girl!:)yup cause its e first time we joined this kind of competition and we have alr made our way into e finals.and we can proudly say,"hey we are the top 12 out of about 40 teams!"hey thats quite an acheivement for first timmer what haha.

thanks alot to chu and yi for spending so much time helping us out in the competition!thanks alot!and yi for missing so many of her drama rehearsals just to rehears with us and modelling for us.love you!:)

and i saw peipei too!she came to watch us,i think.yeah she dint change at all!nvm no change equals to good change.yeah pei and her donuts:)

woke up at 2pm today.wah damn shiok!
had a busy action packed weekend:)
ok lets begin with sat,1 dec.
DRESSER DAY.for a kids fashion show at regent hotel.
so the day started with reporting at e hotel at 7am,followed by the receiving of the kids.i was assigned to 3 kids,victoria,joey and christy.victoria and joey are 6 while christy's 8 years old.
then e rehearsals begin and the kids are sleepy and so am i.haha but it was pretty funny,looking at e kids rehears.you can bear to scold them when they mess up their rehearsals.and its amazing to see how fast they open up to you and the others in like less than an hours, run around the rooms wit each other and became best friends.
after rehearsals we went back to the room for make up and hair and e kids are basically playing about,crawling over you!4 dressers from group A were called to iron the clothes and the rest had to look after their kids.at one point of time i was looking after7 kids!oh my god i almost died.i really felt like a nanny can,so so tired.
then the show finally started at about 2 and the real chaos came.dressing up 3 kids at a time and making sure the clothes are not mixed up/in order/not dirtied are really not easy.the and some odid not even know how to unbottom their clothes and wear their shoes so i basically had to do ALL the undressing and dressing for them.but christy's one independent kid,she knows what she's supposed to do and stuff.joey's quite fine too,but still needs quite alot of help.and victoria needs help almost all of the time.hahahahah and there was a time when she did not come back to me after her first outfit to change for her second outfit and i was so stressed out,having to look for her and also dressing the other two.hahahah that blur girl was at a corner looking at other kids dressing.WOAH HOW CUTE.
and im glad i finally managed to brinf back joey and victoria back to their parents after the show,safe and sound:)but christy went off by herself,without saying goodbye. (quote from ka ka)I.AM.SO.HURT.too.
i miss miss miss the kids now!they are so adorable,and sometimes they do things that you are not sure to laugh or cry.and tehy are like little princesses after dressing up.AWWWW and christy's like a little mermaid with long permed hair:)and other kids like 4 year old koey,and alva and the little 5 year old harpist/pianist carissa:)
though most of the times i was tired and stressed,i had alot alot alot of fun and i miss the kids!AH.
then e day continued with eve and ka ka coming my house to complete the dress for competition and she slept over.THAT DIRTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY GIRL.

comeptition day!the millenia walk christmas outfit heats.yi modelled for us and chu modelled for janis they all:)thanks thanks thanks alot we got into the finals!along with janis,vivian,ethel and other TP pple from the first day of heats.hip hiop hooray!vernon must be so proud of us YEAH!:)

hmm ya so the past weekends was busy and i combined 2 day's sleep into one and woke up damn late today.but today's weather's great for going out!sunny and winday.haha but i've not plans for going out today!

feeling:tired,and a tinge of weirdness that is somehow hard to discribe.
just finished work and actually wanted to come online for just awhile to check emails.but stupid friendster kept sending me msg of pple who updated their profile and stuff that made me just wna go over and have a peep.

the reds are beautiful;or rather,st nicks is beautiful:)
haha the red badges just had their prom ytd at e place we had it last year i think.i wanted to go and say hello actually but i had fever ytd.wth in 2005 when e blue had their prom,and i wanted to go and say hello too,i had chicken pox.and then ytd i was sick.so glad i attended my own prom last year safe and sound yo!yup and so the reds were beautiful,as usual,st nicks what! hhahahahah nvm i happy can alr ok.and i almost could not regconise my own junior in those photos they took!
hmm how weird is it,they are graduating?!that seems almost impossible when i feel as if i had never left school.
prom was such an unforgettable time,it was a beautiful night with beautiful people:)and i wna have prom again!29 nov,hah that's like a day later!29 nov 2006 was our prom and i LOVEEEEEEEEE prom:)actually,its e company i love:Dand we took so so SOOOO many photos that night that it's all over in everyone's cam and till this date,we haven compile the our prom photos yet.
i rmb how we squeezed nine of us in that hotel room and bared our hearts that night:)
nvm the pastel coloured dress code,(the reds could wear any colour except black this year!) nvm the not so nice hair and makeup,nvm the not so nice hotel view that we go that night,it was still a memorable nght:)

ok fine,can we have another pretend-prom or will someone just get married so that i can have a chance to dress up and have sleepovers and play and talk all night again?argh this is so annoying.

HELLO!a few weeks since i last blogged.has been ~~busy~~.ya block finally ended on tues 20 nov!and now its hols till end of the year:)count myself a lucky poly student along with other design pple in tp!
the previous blocks had been busy.quite.er actually not really also.haha the work loads not really alot alot compared to some other blocks,just that i have been feeling abit lazy and things get done quite slowly.haha but its okay i enjoyed my block!anw ka ka says we have to act busy even when we are not really,ya cause designers are supposed to be busy!aha yeah!

Stella's sixth birthday, celebration one week in advance at grandma's house.

me ka ka and eve eve are participating in various competitions this hols so we're gna be kept busy.yah action packed days!
and yes,today's stella's actual birthday so going grandma's hse later for another celebration!yup actually i dont really know why there's a celebration last week,think probably its her chinese birthday and grandma wants to celebrate it!haha ya nvm as long as we are happy:)
and tmr's cycling day with the family as well,yeah i love family gatherings:)

today was dresser day:)
yes we went to the show to be dressers but in e end they only needed 10 dressers for 10 models but there were 15 of us there.haha so in e end me,clar,ka sia,audrey and ming qi did not become dressers.we were playing much more important roles.
haha actually not,we were just doing odd jobs at e fashion show HAHAHAH but it was not really a big deal though cause me and ka sia had damn alot of fun!

1.while the rest were slogging their guts out arranging the clothes and accessories for the models,we were packing some gift bags(easy job man!)and entertaining ourselves,pledging our lovw down upon a little red feather.

2.while the rest were STILL slogging their guts out during the rehearsal,putting and taking clothes off models,we were enjoying oursleves at the comfortable seats,watching the show,taking photos,and commenting.PRIVILEDGED YO!

3.and while the rest were STILL STILL slogging their guts out,having 100 percent focused on the images and the sequence of the models, we were drinking kopi at the cool reception area,with a grand piano next to us,having a good old time.and also,entertaining ourselves with lots of silly stuff AND being entertained by a magican who refused to give ka sia the number 8 black pool ball.but i must say,the magican's good,he got me so entertained and amazed and confused and HAPPYILY HAPPY!and for dunno what reason,lee ka sia claims it to be her hia di.hahaha and there was also this balloon sculpture,who willingly gave me a flower balloon bracelet.YEAH!and we also walked around the chocolate fountain DAMN ALOT OF TIMES,eyeing at all e mashmallows and strawberries,i bet the hotel pple were like what e hell is wrong with these two pple!

yeah actually im quite happy that i was not a dresser in e end haha cause we had so much fun.and we get to watch e show,and were assessed to the backstage too,to watch all the backstage commotions of a runway show.haha great man.

yup and not forgetting the FOOD and long awaited choc fountain at e end of e show!yeah and the fun of pretending to be some rich taitais,mingling and socializing with people yo.

to clarke quay and town with eve and ka sia after that.and we all agreed that eve spends money like theres no tmr,or rather the world is ending tmr.yup,so im gna help this dear girl with her finance,look eve!call me e account guru!

lunch with yi and myra today!
met them at parkway and we ate LUNCH lunch lunch lunch..followed by ice creams!and more ice creams!
and there was this turtleneck i saw at dorothy perkins which i wanted so quite badly after i left the shop so i decided to go back for it,but at e end of the day.AND by the end of the day,that only size 8 left on the rack was gone!!shit man,when i could finally decide on something in such a short time and this has to happen to me.oh manzzzzzzzz I WANT MY TURTLENECK.i shall go turtleneck hunting.

the whole family went out again for dinner without me.haha nah i wanted to stay at home to watch e high school musical concert.haha yeah im lovinnnnnnnnnnnnn' it!

new block today!
im taking jap and comdi.haha with lessons starting from 9 i dread dread dread waking up early!plus i did my assignments till abt four plus this morning(my fault my fault) i really slept e whole bus ride in e morning.aha but lesson ends at 3!yeah no more ending at 6:)
i think jap will be fun!watashiwa pearlyn-san!but we caught a document today and seriously,i just slept throughout e whole show,im sorry but i was just too tired.aha anw i wasnt e only one,even e lecturer agrees that its a very boring film.
then comdi from 12 to 3.Communicating Designs and Ideas.First assignment today,went to town with jane,qianwei and ange for design icons.ahaha dint do much though i was just freaking tired.
AND i forgot totally abt SA's meeting this evening!oh my god so guilty.

firstly,block has ended!which means just one more month before school breaks.

met up with MNG today in st nicks without manpin who's in a faraway land.
yeah i love st nicks!!and zhenqin,kemin,chu and joce were there too!:)

the past saturday was a busy day!

most importantly,it was the birthday of my two darlings,suwi and kemin!
celebration at myra's house,i wish we can have more time together.
photo's are with kemin and zhenqin so there,this photo was e celebration for them LAST YEAR.its LAST YEAR=1 YEAR AGO!

and i rmb it was e last day of school before o's start.

and then later at night i left to support janis in e cuckoo couture 2007 at butter factory!i loe janis and i had been looking forward to this day:)having not been to this place before,i took a cab from douby ghaut and the taxi driver said he dunno where's butter factory cause he 'never play before' and he very cleverly dropped me at some place that i have not been to either.haha i think he's funny.and so eve and ka sia had to come and pick me up.haha not my fault also.

she entered the competition with zero sewing and drafting knowledge and still managed to clinch a price in e competition!woah i love janis!:)

and so at e end of e day,my flu only got worse haha but it was a happy day!

hmm which means this is a busy week.yes very busy.we are working on e final assignment for 3D art and drawing essentials=staying back in school till the sky turns dark.

carol's decided to let us off tmr to attend e fashion shows,i like her:)
which means no school tmr!but have to go school for submission.and i dont think there's classes scheduled on wed too!
WOAH,that leaves FIVE DAYS of break for me!from sat allllllllllll the way to wed:)
but i think i should be starting on e final assignment and e journals cause i think e block's really gna end soon and once again,there's gna be much chaos at e end of every block.

went HD earlier to do my homework before going for e gathering at night.i swear i thought i could finish my work on time but still im quite glad i did manage to complete it in e end.BUT e best part is carol did not collect it on wed.what e hell.

YEAH IT'S another FRIDAY!!

met up with chu and joce for dinner after school today and i bought a pretty pretty dress:)

school has been fine,actually i like these 2 subjects that im taking now!haha i think its fun.and the timing is okay,at least i dont have to wake up at 7 for this month!
we made more paper today for 3D art fund and its disgustingly fun.
and drawing essentials were,obviously more drawings today.

their promos are finally over!at least most of them!yeah the following weekends are reserved for meeting up with pple,those that i missed so so much:D
